Daniel Obodovski

25+ years as a technology leader, author and IOT savant

Prior to Sprosty, Daniel was the founder of The Silent Intelligence, strategy & management consulting company, focused on IOT & digital transformation.

Daniel previously was Director of Business Development at Qualcomm leveraging his extensive background in new business incubation, leading commercialization of multiple businesses, many originating as R&D concepts. He did a Smart City project with MIT SenseableCity Lab, TrashTrack, which later received a NSF data visualization award. In 2011, Daniel co-founded and co-chaired Machine-to-Machine Special Interest Group at CommNexus (currently EvoNexus).
In 2013, Daniel co-authored “The Silent Intelligence: the Internet of Things”, one of the first books on the upcoming technology revolution, which became a top 10 book on technology and investing on Amazon.

Daniel has advised dozens of startups, including Lumedyne, which was acquired by Google in 2014.
Prior to joining Qualcomm, Daniel was Director of Strategic Marketing & Business Development at Motorola Germany. Daniel holds an MBA degree from the University of South Carolina/Vienna University of Economics, as well as a Master’s degree from the Moscow State Lomonosov University.
