The Challenge
MobileRetailCo had previously spent millions of dollars working with a consulting and IT firm. The firm made poor recommendations and failed to deploy the complex system required to help the company scale.
Now, MobileRetailCo was trying to keep from drowning under the weight of thousands of store locations without a solid retail strategy. Additionally, materials would show up late—or not at all. Worse yet, the company didn’t have a solid way of tracking efforts or a way of determining what had or had not yet been implemented.
To move forward, MobileRetailCo required the decision support and tools to make critical changes to their current service providers.
The Solution
The Development of Decision-Making Tools, Provider Selection & Implementation
We began with one goal: to simplify processes and move MobileRetailCo from in-house and manual processes to state-of-the-art systems and processes. Our team worked side-by-side with MobileRetailCo to design decision-making tools for their retail teams, business requirements and new store deployment processes.
Our process included four phases:
- Planning and analyzation,
- Launching a new POVvender
- Data strategy
- Aggregation and integration of systems
We started at Square One with a complete re-documentation and assessment of their current process and technology. From there, we designed parallel-path systems to help mitigate risk. Finally, our team developed the training modules, change management strategy for both retail stores and corporate, and designed the program management, from test to pilot to scale.
